There is also another method called cycling where on weight training days you will take more caloric food and carbs, and on non-training days(only cardio no weights) you are supposed to take less.First of all, what do you understood by the term recomposition? It is a term that is used to gain the needed muscle without gaining fat, to get fit. Now next question is does diet plays any role in achieving recomposition. Intake of bulk diet may help to gain muscle but at the same time fat gain too. People who do not want to gain both will be in confusion like what to eat and not. By the experiences of many people, it is quite impossible to gain muscle with the loss of fat. Whatever the exercise you do it will not work. It is completely a diet that matters here. However, it is not possible to do decide the exact intake of caloric needs or caloric formula. Whatever be the caloric formulas, these formulas should be easily applicable.

Most of the basic formulas ask you to multiply your weight with an integer between 12 to16.

These formulas give the amount of calories you are eating, but they will not give any differentiation between muscle and fat. Therefore, for the long run these basic formulas are of no use.

Most of the advanced formulas, which are quite better but not perfect, calculate by finding out and multiplying the persons LBM (lean body mass) with a number, mostly 16. These formulas use only one part of total body re-composition, and this calculates only energy needs but not the fat. Caloric needs may differ with the overall weight. For fat people, we suggest not to keep your stomach empty for weight loss. Simply eat less and lose fat.
